The Dream

Last night when I dreamt, I dreamt of you
And I were were walking side by side
Along a sea of clearest blue
Upon the warm sand so purely white

The hot sun watched us from high above
And I saw seagulls soar higher and higher
And although I know I could not fly
The feeling was the same when I looked into your eyes

Once upon a time I lived in my own world
And I chose to name it Hate
Hate was a cold, lonely, desolate place
And on this world I erected

The tallest, most impenetrable of gates
This world was mine and mine alone
And I liked it because it was safe
Many came and knocked upon my door
But it took you to show me fate
It could only be you who would enter this place

With you God has granted me peace
Only with you can I rest my weary heart and sleep
So now with you I shall build a new world
And we shall name it Love

Last night when I dreamt I dreamt of you
And we lived, breathed and died in Love.
Wasteland

So many years have passed
And I'm still a Wasteland
How long until I try
How long before I die
In this Wasteland

My mind has always been unkind
And now my body is its ally
And I can't imagine where to go from here

Dreams that never cease
And never will be
Images of happiness
These don't come to me

Don't you dare ask me to smile
Or tell me it will be allright
My future has already died
Inside this Wasteland

The Devil's Sky

Shining lights cross the devil's sky
Wake me from my slumber
Thinking of you I deeply sigh
Only you can end my hunger
And I shouldn't be alone tonight

My psyche takes my hand
My thoughts start to wander
I want to be a part of your plan
Let me take you away from here

To where time matters no more
We can go so much higher
Than people who don't know
What they're living for
